It is a practical and theoretical tool, developed in partnership by organisations from Greece and Romania, namely, CHALLEDU (Athens &#8211; Greece), C.S.E.I. (Arad &#8211; Greece), and P.S.E.U.C. (Chalkida &#8211; Greece). This Guide is an innovative approach, based on current literature and the most recent studies and research in the field of sex education, adapted to the needs of children with disabilities.<\/p><p>The project was based on the realisation that sex education is often neglected for children with disabilities, even though they have the same rights as all other children to receive accurate, safe and accessible information about their own bodies, relationships, personal boundaries, right to consent and safety. Lack of adequate resources and training of educational staff often contributes to the perpetuation of stigma and vulnerability for these children.<\/p><p>The Methodological Guide and the Educational Material respond to these needs and provide practical support for teachers, psychologists, social workers, parents and others involved in the education and care of children with disabilities. The content is game-based and uses storytelling. It is also clearly structured, adapted to different types of disabilities and levels of understanding, and includes examples of activities, alternative communication methods, suggestions for adapting language, and recommendations on how to prevent risk situations.<\/p><p>The transnational collaboration between partners in Greece and Romania has been essential in the development of this material. By exchanging best practices, analysing local educational contexts and consulting specialists from both countries, the Guide reflects a comprehensive, multicultural approach centred on the real needs of the beneficiaries.<\/p><p>This Guide is not just an outcome of a European project, but a living resource, designed to contribute to building a more aware, more equitable educational community, better equipped to support the harmonious development of all children.
